Clinical Observation of Hemorrhoids and Treatment


Abstract
Clinical observations was performed on 101 cases of Hemorrhoids and it¢¥s treatment admitted to our surgical Department, from Jan. 1, 1969 thru December 31, 1970.
1. The ratio of male to female patient of admitted hemorhoids was about 3: 1. 2. Age distribution was predominated in the age of 20-50.
3. At the time of admission, patient¢¥s most frequent chief complaint was anal bleeding, pain & protruded mass.
4. The duration of symptom was at least 1 year and almost patients were admitted with symptom more than 5 years.
5. Average hospitalization was 9.0 days.
6. The duration from the date of operation to he date of discharge was 6.2 days with enjoy-ing usual life.
7. The pain which was most troublesome post operatively was controlled with a 0.9 Ampule (45 mg) of Demerol.
8. Postoperative complications was only 4 cases by Park¢¥s Method. It was superior to other method.
